“The Mercy Alliance displays a natural feel for neoclassic folk rock on an album suffused with melody and melancholy. Motorik like drumming, humming synths and churning organ bring heft and gravitas .. not unlike The War on Drug’s “Lost in a Dream” Uncut Magazine www.facebook.com/themercyalliance
Bohemian Waxwing is a coming tog ether of four musicians with roots in alt-country, punk, ambient, folk, and indie rock. With songs that range from propulsive post-punk to delicate meditations, their lyrics sit at the intersection of our internal and external lives. Their songs might be compared to Yo La Tengo, with the harmonic leanings of XTC, and the lyrical bent of Bill Calahan.
