Night Hawk

Night Hawk is an American indie rock band from Brunswick, Maine, now based in Washington, D.C. Originally a songwriting vehicle for Colter Adams (Indigo Boulevard) and Peyton Semjen, the project has evolved into an acclaimed live act, earning a devoted following for its delicate guitar work, enchanting harmonies, and clear-eyed lyricism.

Night Hawk’s music is defined by stark geometry and bold imagery, underpinned by a deep sense of melancholia and repose. Drawing on themes of urban isolation, childhood nostalgia, and the catalogue of 20th century painter Edward Hopper, the band blends fiddle and arpeggiated acoustic guitar with the raw energy of barnstorming indie and alternative rock, creating a sonic palette that is as expansive as it is emotionally precise.

Rikki Rakki

Rikki Rakki is a hazy, dreamy, “stargazy” rock & roll band from Richmond, Virginia. Songwriter Erika Blatnik’s sweet-tart voice and lilting melodies deliver lyrics hell-bent on finding hope in a void-gazing reality. Along with her own jaunty guitar, Blatnik and buds Matt Luger (guitar), Andy Brown (bass), and Jay Kole (drums) create a vibrant tapestry of sound, weaving layers of reverb-washed harmonies, decaying ambient flutters, sharp jangles and tactile rhythms.

Two Thumbs Down

Two Thumbs Down is an indie punk collective from Philadelphia & DC. They released an album called “End All Be All” on Lauren Records in 2021, and are currently finishing up a new record. They can all do a backflip, and people have described their music

Cougar Beatrice

Delivering thick instrumentation and raw tones, Cougar Beatrice is a

rock band with roots in 2000s alt rock, blues, pop, and vintage rock.

Their newest album, Colors of I, includes a storyline following the

beginning of quarantine and converging personal tragedies, merged with

commentary on the ailings of modern day America and both historical

and future plagues to society, ranging from religiously and racially

motivated violence to the threat of technological control over free

will.. Throughout the album they wrestle with overcoming apathy, first

through experiencing emotional pain and eventually journeying to

acceptance and finding joy and escape in creating and performing

music.
