Miss Monster is a dynamic rock band based in Washington, DC. An electrifying blend of old-school rock and soulful funk, Miss Monster‘s music features powerful lead vocals, ripping guitar solos, jazzy keys, and one of the tightest rhythm sections in the city.
Formed in 2021, Miss Monster first appeared as the backing band for Ben Creel Suarez (The Hipsnacks, Bencoolen). Since then, Miss Monster has restructured, co-headlined Pearl Street Warehouse, and opened for Giacomo Turra, Phillip-Michael Scales, William Tyler, and the legendary John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band. The band has also deeply integrated into DC's music scene sharing the stage with notable local performers like Josee Molavi, Chris Cassaday, and Wild.
Some of Miss Monster's members were in Bencoolen. They have toured around the East Coast, opening for acts such as Marcus King, Big Something, and Nate Smith. They have appeared at major music festivals, including Firefly and Musikfest, and have performed at venues like the 9:30 Club in DC and Brooklyn Bowl in NYC.
Miss Moon is an energetic band formed by Miranda Judd and Brenden Caffey in 2017 where the two came together at the University of Maryland, inspired by their love of performing, to create the beginnings of Miss Moon. The band has changed members throughout the years and currently has a new, fun sound propelled by James Baldassano on the crazy keys, Lex Lehr on bass and Patrick Aquilina on drums! Together they are inspired by their love of making interesting, yet dance-able music. They are inspired by 90s rock, folk, contemporary pop and jazz and love to synthesize interesting genre meshes.
Miss Moon has two recent singles out, both recorded at Miranda and Brenden's home, where the two have put together a high-quality recording space. The first single of 2024 was "Go Baby," written by Miranda Judd.
