KID TIGRRR is the new solo project from singer-songwriter & visual artist Jenna Fournier, front-woman of the shoegaze hybrid Niights. Following two studio albums & four international tours to Japan, Fournier parted ways with her record label & ventured into audio engineering to experiment with home recording & production. Her debut LP, Stoned + Animald, is an ethereal blend of art-rock, melancholy indie, & dream-pop, painting lush atmospheres around her most intimate writing to date. In a vulnerable effort to challenge stigmas, Fournier tackles subjects such as abuse, addiction, & mental health, pushing her horizons both conceptually & sonically, & landing the artist an endorsement from Reverend Guitars while capturing ears and hearts around the globe. Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, a long-time influence of her songwriting, recently invited her to sing backup on his newest album, Aghori Mhori Mei, & released Kid Tigrrr's debut on vinyl through his own label, Martha's Music, before inviting her to join as a touring bassist for his newest project, Billy Corgan and the Machines of God.
Fournier's first self-produced single, 'Shapes of Water,' began as an official pedal demo for EarthQuaker Devices & was later premiered by DKFM Shoegaze Radio, which the artist cites as her go-to for music discovery. Her second single, 'Scry,' is an uncanny track derivative of Slowdive's 'Machine Gun,' & was released with a personal blessing from Neil Halstead. Kid Tigrrr also finds inspiration from Grouper, Mazzy Star, My Bloody Valentine, CocoRosie, Grimes and The Cure.

Inspired by everyday magic, he is committed to storytelling in color and giving breath to the unheard. Jem and his unique sound have been deemed “ethereal,” “warm,” and like “a breath of fresh air,” drawing comparisons to artists like Lucy Dacus, Soccer Mommy, and Phoebe Bridgers. Jem also loves bees and has been known to befriend them.
