Jackie and The Treehorns

“Moody midtempo rock with layered vocals and a sophisticated sonic palette.”

– Mark Jenkins of the Washington Post

Formed in 2009 under the guise of an altered ego (Jackie) and his band (The Treehorns) the group fight to keep the flames of the rock and/or roll fire lit with inspired original inventiveness.

The band has been described as creating full-throttle music with a fluidity of sounds atop a smooth veneer that is wildly interesting and unpredictable as well as playing super-catchy, pumped-up indie rock with addictively clever rhythms and subtle, smiling, muscular menace.

Dougie

Rock and rollas from DC, DOUGIE brings their mix of influences to the Pie Shop stage! Playing tracks from their debut album, “ALL ARE EQUAL” that was recorded at the legendary Inner Ear Studios. Don’t be afraid and embrace them. Featuring Nelson Cuellar on vocals and guitar (the guy that replaced Brian Baker of Bad Religion in the band Foxhall Stacks) as well as Mike Larmoyeux (Czonka, Nazca Lines) on bass and vocals, Davis White (Lorelai, Alice Despard Group) on the drums and Hilary Tomeny (Live at Zac’s House) on keyboards and vocals.

Black Rails

Black Rails are a DC area trio that have been playing textured, guitar-based post-punk since 2017. “Leaving the Migration,” their 6 song debut EP, was released by Impatient Records — the band’s self-run label — in November 2023.
