Brian K & The Parkway and Ramona & The Holy Smokes w/ Bobby Mahoney

Brian K & The Parkway - play earnest and expressive Rock & Roll that’s drawn comparisons to Tom Petty, ‘70s Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Warren Zevon, and The Replacements. Their sound blends ragged Americana grit with memorable hooks – think storytelling and swagger of Drive-By Truckers and singalong choruses of Dawes. After more than a decade as a working musician in the DC area, Pagels officially launched the Americana Rock & Roll band Brian K & The Parkway with fellow longtime drummer and producer Stephen Russ in 2024 – marking the first time he would front and tour his own full band project. Following the release of their debut album Killing The Bear, which features “Wind the Clock” – streamed over 10,000 times on Spotify – they recruited Washington Area Music Association award-winning lead guitarist Mike Shade and immediately hit the road, clocking more than 50 shows across 15 states + DC. The band has shared stages with Wheatus, Steve Poltz, Nicki Bluhm, and Cat Popper (who also sings a duet on their song “Straight Through”), appeared on three major market TV shows including a live performance on "Today in Nashville," and gotten radio play on more than 30 radio stations across the US and Canada.

Ramona and the Holy Smokes - In an era where authenticity in country music feels increasingly rare, Ramona and the Holy Smokes deliver a masterclass in genuine honky tonk with their upcoming EP Til It's Over. Fronted by Charlottesville, Virginia's Ramona Martinez, whose songwriting has earned her recognition from Wide Open Country as one of the "15 Latino Artists Shaping Country Music," the band crafts pre-1964 country that feels both classic and vitally current. Martinez channels the spirit of the golden-age country through a thoroughly modern lens. The Holy Smokes aren't playing dress-up – they're breathing new life into time-tested formulas with arrangements that showcase both technical mastery and emotional depth.

Bobby Mahoney - When you g row up within earshot of the Jersey Shore, and just a bridge or tunnel away from New York City, inspiration comes in waves. For Mahoney, an East Brunswick, New Jersey native, the music of Springsteen and Bon Jovi mixed seamlessly with Gaslight Anthem, Against Me! and the Menzingers; generating a ground-breaking approach. He wasn’t going to take the time-worn route of jumping into the first band that could manage three-chords and half a dozen songs. Instead he chose the long game. Like the legends who inspired him, he would hone his musicianship and songwriting first, then fuse everything with a punk sensibility to create something innovative, something new. The result has led to Mahoney joining the robust roster of New Jersey icon Stevie Van Zandt’s (The Sopranos, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul) Wicked Cool Records and releasing Another Deadbeat Summer, his first album with the label.
