Ammonite

Characterized by surprising harmonies, sharp songwriting, and fierce genre-bending. Ammonite debuted on The National Museum of Women in the Arts “The Tea” program in late 2022 and launched themselves into a busy inaugural year that included The Fort Reno concert series, features of their demo recording on Bandcamp and Country Queer, charting in the top 40 for the year on AltQ radio, headlining Frederick Pride, and playing Rockville Pride.

The power trio melds an edgy 90’s/00s grit with the jangle and twang of classic country revival and queer confessional songwriting that pours out onstage as an authentic and dynamic live show. In the past year Ammonite toured the East Coast and Midwest, played the Cherry Blossom Festival, MidMountain Murder Ballad festival, Takoma Park Folk Festival and contributed a track to Yesterday and Today: D.C. does Dischord, alongside Ted Leo, The Dismemberment Plan, Outerloop, and J Robbins. They have shared the stage with Desert Sharks, Clover Lynn and the Hellfires, Nicole Yun of Eternal Summers, and South For Winter.

“Ammonite became a favorite of mine last winter when I saw them heat up the insides of DC Brau. They rock like punks, but their vocals are mesmerizing.” Washington City Paper

Historically Close Friends

Historically Close Friends is a DC-based indie-pop/rock band that sounds like the entire "All Things Go" festival distilled into one band. Blending riffy guitar leads with custom synth textures and layered vocal harmonies, HCF builds high-energy anthems that bridge the gap between Maggie Rogers’ atmospheric pop and The Beaches’ rock-and-roll grit.

Known for their electric live presence and a dedicated local following, Historically Close Friends is built on the kind of chemistry that only comes from, well, being historically close.

Good Judy

Good Judy is a sapphic glitter punk trio from D.C. with hooky, rhythmic songs about longing, political rage, and surviving late-stage capitalism. With gang vocals and lyrics that veer into the embarrassingly honest, their songs are as fun to yell along with as they are to move to.
